Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre - Graduate Apprentice Selection Walk-in Interview for Engineering Graduates 

About VSSC 

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre (VSSC), is one of the major space research centre of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). The VSSC is the centre for development of satellite launch vehicles and associated technologies. It is located in Trivandrum, Kerala. In the beginning during 1962, the centre was named as Thumba Equatorial Rocket Launching Station. Later, it was renamed as Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre to honour Dr. Vikram Sarabhai, who is regarded as the Father of Indian Space Programme. 


Selection of Graduate Apprentices

The Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre is looking for Graduate Apprentices for the Apprentice training 2015-16 under the Apprentices Act 1961. 

Selection process: Walk-in Interview

Stipend: Rs. 5000 / month

Duration of Training: One year

Educational Qualification

Engineering: First Class B.E / B.Tech in relevant Engineering discipline with minimum 65 % of marks from a recognised Indian University.

Library and Information Science: Degree + First class B.LISc with not less than 60 % of marks.

17th October 2015 (Saturday) From 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM

For Mechanical Engineering, Civil Engineering, Aeronautical / Aerospace Engineering, Chemical Engineering, Metallurgy Engineering, Production Engineering.

31st October 2015 (Saturday) From 9.00 AM to 3.00 PM

For Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, Computer Science Engineering and Library & Information Science. 

Important Instructions

  • The candidates who have completed the relevant degree after April 2013 only are eligible to apply.
  • The selection will be based on the marks obtained in the Engineering along with weightage to the reservation.
  • Candidates with one year or more than one year work experience or not eligible. 

Application Procedure

  • Interested candidates have to register at Board of Apprenticeship Training (BOAT, Southern region), Chennai through the website www.sdcentre.org.
  • After successful registration, the interested and eligible candidates can appear for the Walk-in Interview at the venue mentioned above.
